The GirlTrek national team is a small group of sisters inspired by the fearless life of Harriet Tubman who changed the course of America by walking over 300 slaves to freedom. Currently, GirlTrek is a groundbreaking, national nonprofit that mobilizes women and girls to live their healthiest, most fulfilled lives through developing a habit of daily walking. Today, GirlTrek believes that we must harness the brilliance of our college – aged women in order to increase the chances of us living longer healthier lives. We envision all of our HBCU campuses filled with women (students, faculty and staff) who are moving, walking and enjoying the benefits of supporting each other to live their most fulfilled and healthiest lives- GirlTrek is stepping up to provide this opportunity - will you join us?
