Have you ever thought about utilizing your education and talents to make a global impact? The World Bank Group, headquartered in Washington, D.C., is a unique global partnership made up of five institutions working to reduce poverty, build shared prosperity and promote sustainable development in the developing world.
The five institutions are the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), the International Development Association (IDA), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). IBRD and IDA provide financing, policy advice, and technical assistance to governments, while IFC, MIGA, and ICSID focus on strengthening the private sector. The complementary roles of our institutions give the World Bank Group a unique ability to connect global financial resources, knowledge, and innovative solutions to the needs of developing countries.
As an organization, we are committed to fostering and strengthening diversity and inclusion in both our work and our workplace. A diverse staff mirrors the diversity of the clients we serve and the partners we work alongside in 189 member countries in over 130 office locations around the world. A partnership with Historically Black Colleges and Universities ensures that the World Bank Group further expands its doors to continuously attract innovative talented and development-focused workforce.
