When Florida students can exercise their freedom to vote regardless of where they live, work or go to class, it sends a message that their vote - their voice - is respected and valued.
Despite offering campus voting in 2018, Duval Supervisor of Elections Mike Hogan has resisted community demands to reinstate Early Voting sites at Edward Waters University -- a historically black university -- and the University of North Florida.
The site at Edward Waters University not only served the campus, but the surrounding New Town community. The campus early voting site was convenient for many senior citizens who live in the area.
This is why residents of Duval County are organizing yet again -- to demand the reinstatement of early voting sites at the University of North Florida and Edward Waters University.
Please take a moment and sign this petition to push for the reinstatement of the EWU early voting site.

Message . In July 2018, a federal court struck down Florida’s unconstitutional ban on college and university campus early voting locations, citing a “stark pattern of discrimination.” action.aclu.org |
